Ferro Molybdenum
Product description
Its main use is as an additive to molybdenum in steelmaking. The addition of molybdenum to the steel can make the steel have a uniform fine-grained structure, and improve the hardenability of the steel, which is beneficial to eliminate the temper brittleness. In high-speed steel, molybdenum can replace a part of tungsten. The combination of molybdenum and other alloying elements is widely used in the production of stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, acid-resistant steel and tool steel, as well as alloys with special physical properties. Molybdenum added to cast iron can increase its strength and wear resistance.

Performance and Features
Ferro-molybdenum is an amorphous metal additive in the production process. It has several excellent characteristics that are transferred to the new alloy. One of the main benefits of ferromolybdenum is its hardening properties, which makes the weldability of steel extremely strong. In addition, increasing the alloy of ferromolybdenum can improve corrosion resistance. The characteristics of ferromolybdenum make it have a protective film on other metals. It is suitable for various products.
Applications
Molybdenum in steel can improve hardenability and thermal strength, prevent temper brittleness, improve remanence and coercivity, and corrosion resistance in certain media, and prevent pitting tendency. Due to the various beneficial effects of molybdenum in steel, it is used in a series of steel types such as structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, tool steel, stainless acid-resistant steel, heat-resistant steel and magnetic steel. In cast iron, molybdenum is very effective for improving strength and toughness. When the addition amount is 0.25%-1.25%, it can also form pearlite matrix structure for medium and large cross-section castings.
